Lerix - Do As Infinity (2013)

Lerix is a Brooklyn based rapper whose style and sound exemplifies his personal slogan “A little bit nerd and a little bit street.” Lerix’s love for hip-hop started at the age of 12, thanks to the influence of his older cousin, Hank Love, who was the co-host and DJ for 105.9’s “Hank love and Half-Pint show.” During those years, Lerix gained an affinity for artists with diverse lyrical content and creativity.

Following in the footsteps of his musical influences, Lerix developed a style that is unique, energetic and creative. Taking part in many open mics and showcases throughout New York, Lerix gained the attention of an A&R reps, but decided it was more important to keep his independence instead of being told what kind of music to make.

Taking a break from music, Lerix worked full-time while attending school at New York University for computer science. Not happy with the direction this path was taking him in, Lerix decided to follow his passion and switched his focus back to writing and recording music.

His debut E.P. “New Heights”, gained the attention of many music websites and blogs, earning him the opportunity to perform at various venues and events in and out of New York, including the “Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival” and “SXSW.” Lerix continues to release music and perform live, while his acclaim and fan base continuously grows.
